My Current Favorite Gel Nail Products

As a former nail technician, I\’m picky about what actually earns a spot in my kit. These four products have stayed in my rotation and I keep repurchasing them.

BQAN Silicone Nail Tools 3Pcs (Powder Brush Set)https://amzn.to/4qnZg8V

Because it\’s silicone, there\’s way less powder dust flying everywhere, and even a small amount of powder gives great shine. I\’ve tried regular brushes and sponges for chrome powder before, but this adheres to gel polish so much better — smooth, glassy finish every time. Nothing to complain about, though a slightly smaller size would be nice for detail work.

GAOY Sheer Nude Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish Set (Nude Nebula)https://amzn.to/3TzptVH

A 6-color set in a sheer jelly nude/pink/purple/gold holographic range — great for a natural-but-elevated look.

GAOY Pink Ocean Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish Set with Magnethttps://amzn.to/3RBQ043

Out of everything I\’ve tried, GAOY offers the best value for the price — great color range, good lasting power. The magnet formula stands out especially: the magnetic particles are finer than most brands, so it\’s much easier to pull the cat-eye effect together. Even beginners can get a clean result.

Pretty Diva Moonlight Chrome Nail Powderhttps://amzn.to/4zcjPsT

The colors are gorgeous. Cheap chrome powders often have coarser particles, which causes clumping or an unnatural look, but this one has a much finer texture and applies smoothly over pretty much any gel color. Pairs especially well with the BQAN brush above. Only downside is the packaging feels a bit plain.

These are the products still in my kit years into doing gel nails, both professionally and at home.
